Overview

LawGoat is an AI-assisted tool to help users in search of legal advice, it has a user's version and a lawyer's version.

We collaborated with a Texas-based legal consulting firm to develop this product for them, with the potential to scale it for a broader public market.

Timeline

The project spans for 5 months. The design team works alongside with the devs in multiple sprints in an agile environment

The Team

The team consists of 3 front-end developers, 2 back-end developers and 1 AI/ML engineer, as well as 2 product designers and a senior manager of a law firm as our consultant.

Iterations

In previous version, lawyers have 4 options for a new case: Quick legal advice, Accepted, Save for later and Pass.
We present this version to the senior excutives of a Law Firm and got the feedbacks:
#1 there are no incentives for lawyers to give free legal advice
#2 4 options are too many
#3 users are not getting any feedback if lawyers just click Pass
